A comfortable country detached barn conversion, offering high quality accommodation all year round, with beautiful rural views over a patchwork of Cornish countryside. With glimpses of the distant Atlantic and peacefully situated 1/4 mile down a private gravel lane a mile from the village centre with its ancient church, Hollyberry is an idyll for both families, couples and their pets alike.
An abundance of wildlife exists within our 36 acre unspoilt and private country estate, all within a County Wildlife Site, so there is plenty for the keen nature lover to see whether expert or amateur. Occupation of the site can be traced back 5,500 to 6,000 years through the ancient late stone age field systems in our woodland. So from Archaeology through Botany to Zoology there's something really special about Hollyberry.
Our collection of farm animals is almost like a small farm park. Our herd of Pygmy and Bagot goats, pigs, ponies and hens alll add to the ambience of our little farm. You can even help feed them too if you're around at feeding time! The recently planted little orchard down in the woods also has a picnic bench so it makes an ideal sheltered location for barbeques with plenty of room to play and relax.
Tempting as it is to stay at the farm all day, you'll probably want to get out and about, so you'll be pleased to know that Hollyberry is a good central location for exploring the Land's End Peninsula; Sennen Cove is just 3.5 miles away and Treen and its neighbouring coves, Penberth Cove, Porthcurno and the famous open air Minack Theatre and the market town of Penzance are within ten minutes drive, while Land's End aerodrome, Penzance Heliport and Penzance Harbour are within easy reach for day trips to the magical Isles of Scilly.
As you would expect the accommodation is in excellent order throughout, with attractive decor and oil fired central heating for comfort even in the cold winter months. There are many character features, such as ceiling beams, traditional walls, and timber flooring making Hollyberry a very spacious and attractive holiday home. The arrangement of rooms enables Hollyberry to be enjoyed by couples, families and extended families alike. So whether you're into walking, bird watching, surfing, wildlife, playing on the beach, sightseeing or just plain relaxing we know that you'll have a great time at Hollyberry and don't forget you can bring your pets too.
