want to know moreA superb, detached barn in a lovely rural location, with wide country views to the sea. Dating back to the mid 1800s, the property is adjacent to the owners' pretty cottage, which once belonged to the captain of the Nineveh Mine. The mine has long disappeared into the history of the Cornish Tin era, and this tiny scattering of buildings now nestles peacefully amidst beautiful countryside by the rugged Atlantic coastline. Approached on a fairly narrow 1/2 mile track, from Trewellard, any disturbance is only likely to come from the moo of nearby cows, or the song of a swallow! Badgers, rabbits, foxes and bats may be spotted, and there is a lovely array of wild flowers. From here one can witness stunning sunsets, and a footpath across three fields joins the South West Path, the source of magnificent coastal scenery. The local public house,The Trewellard Arms is a half mile away and two outstanding village pubs, The North Inn and The Queen's Arms plus the Geevor Tin Mining Museum are all about a mile distant. The property was recently partially rebuilt and totally renovated, resulting in first class accommodation. Newly laid wooden flooring, latched timber doors and quaint little windows provide the character to be expected of such a building. A truly delightful holiday home in a tranquil setting.
