Dating back over 150 years, Treveth nestles into the side of one of the most picturesque and ancient coves in West Cornwall and offers stunning rural views across the valley floor. As you negotiate the steep granite steps that are literally cut into the side of the hill to reach the property, your first visual impression of the cottage and its charming gardens is that somehow, it has managed to resist the march of change over the years since its completion in 1850. Whilst the interior of the property has been furnished to a very comfortable standard for today’s discerning guest, it is bursting with character including low beamed ceilings, a wood burning stove (fuel not included), exposed granite walls and pretty cottage windows. The enclosed little garden is well stocked with shrubs and small trees and benefits from a south facing elevation. Treveth is a short stroll from both the local pub and the Lamorna Cove Hotel which has a spectacular decked balcony overlooking the valley – perfect for that early evening Gin and Tonic! The Cove - which is still privately owned – continues to attract a broad church of visitor who is drawn to this stunning valley to indulge in numerous activities such as Scuba diving from the harbour, walking the breathtaking cliff top paths, fishing from the breakwater, touring the spectacular west coast peninsula or just meandering through the wooded valley which is a carpet of bluebells in the early spring. The circular walk from Lamorna to Mousehole was featured in the Daily Telegraph as one of Britain's top walks.
