NEW - Contemporary, stylish and very pretty would adequately describe this delightful property which lies in the quiet village of Lelant twixt the lively fishing port of St. Ives and the picturesque estuary at Hayle. Honeysuckle Cottage is surprisingly light and spacious and this element has certainly been enhanced by the internal colour scheme of browns, creams and pine throughout together with a neutral decorative palette. The addition of soft furnishings in rich spice, copper and rust completes the contemporary feel. The cottage benefits from private parking for two cars and a delightful rear patio which is ideal for that early morning breakfast in the sunshine! The cottage is very well situated as it is only a five minute walk from two very good pubs serving quality Cornish food and beer and Scarlet Wines, a new delicatessen wine merchant and cafe which is already gaining an enviable reputation for its delicious cakes, lunches and dinners.
The scenic railway line to St.Ives is also a short stroll from the cottage (in fact the line runs along the embankment just behind the cottage) and is perfect to visit St.Ives without the additional problem of parking which is very difficult in the peak summer months. The Hayle estuary is home to an RSPB sanctuary and in cold winters, as many as 18,000 birds have been seen as it is the most south westerly estuary in the UK and never freezes. During spring and autumn, it is an ideal place to see migrant wading birds, gulls and terns. In the summer, Osprey's are regular visitors. Honeysuckle Cottage is lovely holiday home and ideally situated for either a relaxing or energetic holiday or both!
