Renovated to a very comfortable standard, The Old Rocket and Pump House nestles on the edge of this much sought after and picturesque little fishing cove. Dating back to the early 1800's, this fabulous little bolt hole was formerly the pump house that supplied well water to the adjoining coastguard cottages. It was also used to house the rockets which were fired to secure lines for the Breaches Buoys when coastguards attempted the dangerous transfer of sailors from the unfortunate vessels that foundered on the treacherous rocks and coves around the Land's End peninsula.

  Situated just yards from the coastal path and two minutes from the little harbour, shop, cafe and lifeboat station, The Old Rocket and Pump House is literally a cottage for all seasons. Whether you are sitting on the bench outside of the property watching a glorious summer sunset or sitting in front of the crackling wood burning stove whilst a winter gale screeches in from the Atlantic, this captivating little haven will certainly not disappoint but be warned , you will want to return so book early!

  Entrance up original granite steps to first floor stable door and Kitchen: Fully fitted, bespoke units with sea views of the Cowloe Rocks and the Atlantic beyond from the large picture window, tiled floor, electric cooker with double oven and grill, large fridge/freezer, dishwasher, washing machine and microwave. Lounge: Light and spacious open plan living area with a vaulted ceiling, Velux ceiling window, wood floor, views of Cape Cornwall plus a view of Sennen beach from the porthole! Double French style doors to rear Juliet balcony. Flat screen TV/DVD, portable music system, sofa and window seating, dining table and chairs, night storage heater. Stairs to ground floor Bedroom. 4ft 6" bed, bespoke fitted furniture, night storage heater, double French style doors to rear, very small gravelled area underneath the cliff face for the storage of wet suits, surf boards etc. Floor to ceiling patio style doors with partial sea views, Venetian style blinds and external shutters. En-suite shower room fully tiled with shower cubicle, electric shower, large hand basin, heater towel rail and WC.

  Outside: Several little seating areas, planted lobster pots. Parking is available 50 yards from the property but is not guaranteed (first come first served basis). There is a narrow lane to the front of the cottage and it is possible to gain access to unload and load your vehicle. A public car park is located two minutes from the cottage.

  Please note:

  Guests are kindly asked to refrain from smoking inside the property and unfortunately pets are not accepted.

  The approach steps to the first floor entrance to the property are fairly steep and can be hazardous in the dark or in inclement weather.

  The property therefore may not be suitable for the elderly or those guests with mobility problems.
