Pretty, contemporary, cosy and charming are all adjectives that could be used to describe this enchanting terraced cottage that sits in the very heart of Goldsithney Village. Completely renovated for the ensuing season, Trefusis (Presumably named after Henry Trefusis, a former High Sheriff of Cornwall) has been extremely well appointed with quality bed linens and pretty soft furnishings, original wooden floors and even a baby wood burning stove in the Lounge for those chilly autumnal evenings! Ideally suited to a young family, although please note the bathroom is downstairs and the stairs are fairly steep, or even a couple who just want to get away from the hustle and bustle of 21st Century life.
The cottage is conveniently located in the very heart of Goldsithney which is a traditional Cornish village and in walking distance to two very good local pubs and a well stocked store that opens all hours perfect whether you want to eat out or cosy up to the fire and watch a rented DVD! On the 5th of August every year, a fayre is held in the village, which was originally held in the town of Sithney near Helston. In olden times, St Perran gave a glove as the prize to the wrestlers in his parish, and the winner was permitted to collect the market toll on the day of the feast. That was until the miners of Goldsithney resolved to contest the prize which they duly won and the fair has been held in the village ever since. A five minute drive from the cottage will bring you to the village of Perranuthnoe which boasts one of the best family beaches in West Cornwall (relatively quiet even in the peak summer months) and an award winning local pub serving stunning food. Alternatively, you could leave the car behind and hop on the bus which stops ten yards from the cottage! The regional hub of Penzance with its transport links to the Isles of Scilly, supermarkets, pubs and shops is only a ten minute drive. Trefusis is a lovely little cottage which is conveniently located and therefore ideal as a base from which to tour the breathtaking coastal scenery of this wild peninsula.

Perranuthnoe is a tiny and traditional Cornish village nestled in the heart of Mount's Bay which comprises very little more than a church, a pub and a superb sheltered cove with a beautiful sandy beach. However, if it is the peace and tranquillity of a quite beautiful Cornish village that you are seeking, look no further - and besides, the village pub alone is worth the visit. Mentioned in the Doomsday Book and certainly dating back to the 12th century, The Victoria Inn is thought to be the oldest recorded Inn in Cornwall. Once frequented by masons building the village church, and later used as a stopover for prisoners being taken to Bodmin Jail, today The Victoria Inn is a delightful, award-winning hostelry run by a protégé of world famous chef Raymond Blanc and is full of ancient charm and olde worlde hospitality.
