Expectations for self catering properties have never been higher. The single biggest issue in holiday letting is managing expectation from an ever demanding client base. Since the explosion of home interest magazines and the plethora of TV makeover programmes, the aspirations of today’s visitor are continually rising, they expect the very best from their holiday home and why shouldn’t they?

Ever since they made the booking, they have been talking about it, the children have been dreaming about it and the relatives are probably fed up with discussing it!

Owners must appreciate – and the majority do! - That clients expect their holiday property to be as good as, or if not better, than their own home. They are paying increasingly higher fees and the old attitude of “well they are only holidaymakers” is just not acceptable anymore.

Properties must be regularly decorated and updated with quality fixtures, fittings and modern appliances. Dishwashers,wide screen TV’s, DVD & CD players, iPod docking stations, WiFi, power showers, BBQ’s (where appropriate), and quality wooden garden furniture are pre-requisites rather than luxuries.
