Sarah Sharp, who launched, grew and successfully operated Sparkle – a company offering a range of cleaning, welcome and maintenance services for holiday cottage owners and companies in Cornwall - has joined West Cornwall Cottage Holidays as Head of Client Services.

The appointment is part of an exciting raft of new business development programmes for Penzance based West Cornwall Cottage Holidays. The agency - which is currently enjoying one of the busiest starts to a season for several years - will shortly be launching a comprehensive new website and establishing a number of UK wide marketing initiatives and collaborations with other tourism-related businesses in the county.

According to WCCH MD Austyn Hallworth, Sarah’s appointment will add even more expertise, experience, energy and enthusiasm to the team.

“We are very excited that Sarah has decided to join the team at West Cornwall Cottage Holidays. Her range of skills will complement the existing team brilliantly. She ran a very successful company serving the holiday home sector in Cornwall and we are delighted to have attained her services for the future benefit of both our owners and customers.

“This year will see a lot of significant developments within the business with joint marketing initiatives, a brand new website and a proactive UK wide promotional campaign, buoyed by what has been the busiest start to a year from a booking perspective for several years.

“Our longest serving member of staff Val Bushby will be leaving the company after 13 years to enjoy a well earned retirement and so Sarah’s appointment is extremely well timed” said Austyn.

Sarah said the lure of working for one of the county’s leading names in the increasingly popular holiday cottage market was too good to pass up.

“Through Sparkle. I had previously worked with Austyn and his team, so when the opportunity came to bring the Sparkle experience to the benefit of West Cornwall Cottage Holidays, it was one that I was delighted to accept,” said Sarah.

“This season is already shaping up to be an extremely busy one and we will be looking to secure and develop further opportunities to increase the quality of the offer and experience for our customers,” she added
