St Piran's Day

St Piran's Day

Warm up your vocal chords and join the crowds as they celebrate the patron saint of Cornwall and the county’s ‘national ‘ day during a magnetic mix of events scheduled to occur on 5th March.

Every corner of Cornwall will host their own bespoke set of commemorations, from black and white flag-waving parades and processions in Marazion and Penzance to Redruth’s early weekend shenanigans on Saturday 3rd, where a colourful plethora of events including markets, music and parades will mark the biggest event of its kind yet.

Immerse yourself in everything from street parties and traditional customs such as ceilidh and folk dances to live entertainment and a resounding soundtrack of the Trelawney anthem performed by local choirs, school children and revellers throughout the streets and pubs.

And with an abundance of Cornish fayre to tuck into – from pasties and cream teas to local ales, wines and spirits, it’ll be a top tasting affair to boot!

Unite with hundreds of other revellers across the Duchy - and beyond - with the Trelawney Shout (Cornish pub singing) in your local of choice at 9pm, and don your best black and white garb to honour the colours of the Cornish flag and help raise money for charitable causes throughout the county.
