Over 120 beautiful properties to choose from
Escape the lingering late summer hoards by staking claim to your own tranquil piece of sand at one of west Cornwall’s more sparsely populated and wildly beautiful coves.
The area is packed with beaches of all kinds, from flat and family friendly to surfing hotspots, open water swimming haunts and away-from-it-all stretches of golden sands, allowing all types of visitor to find somewhere beautiful by the water to suit.
Prussia Cove beyond Perranuthnoe en route to Helston presents picturesque walking paths, a small sandy cove and oodles of rocks to explore and lounge on at a truly spellbinding locale.
The far west, Lands End area is one of the best destinations to head for if you’re seeking something more off-the-beaten-track. Nanjizal is home to a sublime rocky (sometimes sandy depending on recent storm action) cove, caves and stunning cliff paths, while toward Porthcurno, Penberth and Pednvounder present an escapist’s dream territory.
Heading eastward along the coast toward Cape Cornwall, and the boulders of Cot Valley are revealed after an uber scenic woodland valley walk, while beyond if you’re in the realms of Morvah – make a beeline for the utterly enchanting, Portheras Cove.
In St Ives, it’s practically impossible to escape other people, but Porthgwidden tends to be a quieter spot to relax on – depending on the time of day and year.
