If a friend sent you a post card saying that they were staying in a stunning holiday home, sipping an ice cold Pimm's whilst sitting on a sun drenched wooden deck which is perched on a hill with breathtaking views of the Atlantic Ocean, St Michael's Mount and overlooking one of the prettiest seaside villages in England - you probably wouldn't believe them - until now! Built in the late 1920s, Trevilley is a traditional large family home which has recently been completely renovated and exudes every modern creature comfort including twin sun decks, a double conservatory, en-suite Jacuzzi bath and even a summer lodge in the garden - ideal for the grand parents or those rowdy teenage sons or daughters! - The owners of this magnificent south facing property have deliberately styled the house with a nautical feel however it is very much beach house rather than beach hut! Several features include an open fireplace built from shipwrecked timbers and an outside staircase leading from the summer house which has oars for banisters. Large slabs of slate surround the BBQ area bearing a selection of verse from various famous poets. A very unusual and stylish property which once found - never forgotten and certainly very hard to leave!

With a profusion of narrow streets, donkey wide alleys and history at every turn, Mousehole is the epitome of a picturesque Cornish fishing village in a simply stunning setting. In fact Dylan Thomas who spent much of his honeymoon in the village described Mousehole as the prettiest village in all England.
Located just three miles westward from Penzance on the curve of Mounts Bay, the village is centred around an almost completely circular harbour with a small and truly charming beach which always proves popular with families, particularly those with small children.
Mousehole has largely resisted modern day trappings and remains unspoiled by 21st century developments. Working fishing boats still ply their trade from the harbour which is protected from the might of the Atlantic by two sturdy breakwaters, (Cornwallâs earliest and begun in 1393) and today are accompanied by visiting yachts and pleasure craft, making the panorama of the harbour truly peaceful and idyllic.
The village itself is a veritable maze of granite and slate cottages, winding narrow streets and cobbled alleyways which have a magic and mystery all of their own amd just waiting to be explored. Virtually unchanged by time, its natural beauty and charm still attracts many artists, drawn by its unique atmosphere and beautiful light.
The famous National Trust cliff walk round the Landâs End Peninsula starts at Mousehole. One of its most beautiful stretches is south from the village to Lamorna Cove and the Coastal Footpath continues towards Penberth and Porthcurno. The whole walk is full of breathtaking scenery and the immediate and surrounding coastline is officially designated an âArea of Outstanding Natural Beautyâ by the National Trust.
Mousehole has a fine selection of craft and gift shops and small art galleries and in addition to some excellent pubs and restaurants (which serve the freshest fish you will ever enjoy, landed and delivered daily from nearby Newlyn). There is an enviable choice of tearooms serving quite delicious Cornish cream teas with mountains of golden clotted cream and superb fresh crab sandwiches.
