The location of this pretty cottage is ideally suited for those guests who wish to experience at first hand, the magnificent scenery that this mystical peninsula has to offer. Dating back over 150 years, this deceptively spacious, well appointed and charming holiday cottage benefits from a recent extension to the main property which has added a new open plan kitchen and dining area, perfect for those long family suppers on a balmy summer evening! The group of cottages that form the hamlet of Trevowhan are surrounded by open fields stretching down to the mighty granite cliffs, the Atlantic Ocean beyond and access to the South West Coastal Path. This is ideal walking country, with the cottage being perfectly situated for enjoying the beautiful rural location and is within easy driving distance between the popular holiday resorts and beaches of St. Ives, Penzance and Sennen Cove. The smaller villages of Morvah, Pendeen and Zennor are also accessible by car for groceries, pubs and restaurants. The Gurnards Head (recently voted dining pub of the year) is but a short drive from the cottage and the coast road between St. Ives and St. Just is considered as one of the top ten most beautiful drives in Europe.

The moorland parish of Morvah is one of the smallest in Cornwall and is located on the north-western seaboard of the Penwith peninsula between St Just and Zennor. The local church was dedicated in 1409 to St Morwetha and was built by the Knights of St John as a daughter church to the church at Madron. Later on it was dedicated to St Bridget of Sweden, who had formed the order of Bridgentines in 1373. On the cliffs at Tregaminion is the Bronze Age Holy Well near the site of an early Christian chapel which was probably built around 6th to 8th Century AD. Water from the well was used by the villagers until mains water was provided in the 1960's. Every year on the first Tuesday in August, Morvah celebrates a unique community event The Morvah Pasty Day. A great day out for visitors and locals alike, there are childrenâ activities, live folk music and of course the famous Morvah Pasty. Another must for visitors is the Morvah School House which is now a converted gallery and exhibits locally and nationally renowned artists of diverse disciplines. In the coffee shop, locally handcrafted items such as stained glass, pottery, jewellery and cards are for sale, as well as delicious home-made cakes, teas, coffee and hot snacks.
