This delightful little property nestles in the very heart of this much sought after valley and is only a short stroll to the cove, beach cafe, \"Wink\" Pub and Lamorna Cove Hotel. Post Office Cottage is not surprisingly attached to the Old Post Office and dates back over 150 years. Whilst now offering every modern convenience including full central heating, the property still oozes olde worlde charm and retains many original features such as beamed ceilings and a granite feature fireplace.

The property has been subtly decorated and furnished to provide light and attractive accommodation. As with many traditional Cornish cottages, space is a premium yet the owners have given serious consideration to ensure that every nook and cranny has been cleverly utilised. The result is a well presented and comfortable holiday home that also benefits from a small deck which overlooks the spacious rear garden and patio that is just waiting for that glass of chilled white wine and a sizzling BBQ! (Please note that the extensive rear garden is shared with the owners property next door and whilst there is no fence as such, the fruit trees act as a natural divide) This property is well suited to either a small family or just for a couple that require a little romantic hideaway and the need to be left alone!

Still privately owned, Lamorna Cove is synonymous with the Newlyn School of Art and in particular S J “Lamorna” Birch. Other late nineteenth and early twentieth centuries artists of the Newlyn School including Alfred Munnings, Laura Knight and Harold Knight. The author Derek Tangye lived in Lamorna where he wrote his famous books "The Minack Chronicles". Today, the cove attracts visitors from all over the world eager to trace the footsteps of this widely read author. The cove is dominated by the breakwater which was built mainly to export granite from the valley which was used in the construction of the Thames Embankment. There is also a pub in the valley called the Lamorna Wink. The name derives from a smuggling signal (a lamp on and off from the upstairs window) which would signal to smugglers out in the cove that the coast was clear and that there were no revenue men about!
