Are you part of a large organisation?

No - West Cornwall Cottage Holidays is a family owned business that has been operating for over 30 years in the West Penwith area. All of our properties are based within a ten mile radius of Penzance.

Can you manage all aspects and expenses of my

holiday property and will there be a charge?

Yes – Primarily, the agency will handle all aspects of the marketing and subsequent bookings for your property as part of our commission payment.

Any additional administration or management such as annual VAT/Tax returns, utility payments, deliveries, building, maintenance or renovation, will incur a small fee. (please ask for further details).

Do you charge an annual fee?

No.

Do you charge an initial set up fee?

Yes – An initial fee of £95 is made for photography and website entry. There is no charge for any subsequent changes or new photography. An optional virtual tour is available upon request.

What is your commission Fee?

16% of the gross rental.

Are there any additional costs?

Yes – there is a separate charge for brochure and media costs which is charged on a monthly basis (pro rata if you join the agency halfway through the season).

When do I get paid?

During the first week of every quarter you will receive a detailed statement and payment.

Do you inspect the properties?

All properties in the portfolio are subjected to a rigorous inspection which is carried out during the winter months from November to February. Each owner receives a full report and recommendations.

Should we decide to terminate our contract – are

there any financial penalties?

Yes. A termination fee of £50 is made to cover all administration expenses.

Are you a full service agency?

Yes – we are able to handle all aspects of your property from initial booking enquiries to full property management and even renovation!

What happens in the event of a cancellation?

All bookings are covered by comprehensive cancellation refund promise and owners receive full payment even if the property is not re-let.

Where do you advertise?

We run an extensive mixed media campaign throughout the year utilizing, national media, consumer and specialist press. To give your property maximum exposure, we also include “one off” feature advertising in specifically chosen specialist media. The agency also endeavours to ensure first page status on all of the major search engines and a comprehensive pay per click campaign.
